In addition to the significant aids from the global community after several floods stroke Pakistan, the United Nations (UN) has raised approximately $460 million in immediate aid for the South Asian country by August 20, 2010. Although this is far from enough, aid-providing countries are to some extend exhausted at the second half of a “disaster year”, after the Haitian earthquake and many other natural disasters have occurred.
